The recent development of several methods for extracting curcumin from the root plant Curcuma longa has led to intensified research on properties and its fields application. Following studies accreditation as a natural compound with antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial properties, new application have been developed in two main directions—food medical, respectively. This review paper aims synthesize an additive prevention spoilage, safety, quality food. Simultaneously, it present products bacterial infections health care. In both cases, types formulations form (nano)emulsions, (nano)particles, or (nano)composites are presented, depending field conditions exploitation their be used. diversity composite materials that can designed, purpose use, leaves open conditioning curcumin. Various biomaterials active antibiofilm point view intuited which acts potentiates activities other compounds synergistic activity them.
